Status Public on Apr 01, 2006
Title PC xenograft PC133 after castration replicate_2
Sample type RNA

Channel 1
Source name xenograft
Organism Homo sapiens
Characteristics Androgen-independent xenograft, without expression of a functional androgen receptor, 15 days after castration of male host mouse.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Label Cy3

Channel 2
Source name common reference of 13 cell lines
Organism Homo sapiens
Characteristics 13 cell lines that originated from prostate cancer (Du145 and LNCaP), breast (MCF7 and ZR75.1), bone (MG63), colon (HT29), endothelium (Ea-hy926), ovary (A2780), skin (SK-MEL-28), B-cell leukemia (Raji), T-cell lymphoblastoma (Jurkat) and fibroblasts (N92-19N and N92-19T).
Extracted molecule total RNA
Label Cy5

Description The prostate cancer xenografts have been described by van Weerden and Romijn (Prostate 2000; 43:263-271). The xenografts were serially passaged subcutaneously in both shoulders of male Swiss nude mice.
Data processing Normalization was performed using R-routines (Lowess method; http://cmfdb.nki.nl/). All spots with an R-value below 3 or with an average intensity less than 0.4 of the median spot intensity per subarray were considered to be insufficiently reliable and were excluded from the data analysis.
