Retinal protein
This family of proteins is found in the photoreceptor cells of the retina. Mutations of the gene encoding this protein have been associated with retinal disorders such as retinitis pigmentosa and late-onset progressive retinal atrophy. The function of this family of proteins is unknown, but it is likely to be important in the development and function of the retina.
