Summary: Analysis of intestinal epithelial Caco-2 cells following treatment with 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 for 24 hours. 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 stimulated calcium absorption in the intestine. Results provide insight into the additional effects of vitamin D on intestinal epithelial cells.
