COMMENT VALIDATED REFSEQ: This record has undergone validation or
preliminary review. The reference sequence was derived from
            CK023920.1, M36981.1 and BC002476.2.

Summary: Nucleoside diphosphate kinase (NDK) exists as a hexamer
composed of 'A' (encoded by NME1) and 'B' (encoded by this gene)
isoforms. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants
encoding the same isoform have been found for this gene.
Co-transcription of this gene and the neighboring upstream gene
            (NME1) generates naturally-occurring transcripts (NME1-NME2) which
encode a fusion protein comprised of sequence sharing identity with
each individual gene product. [provided by RefSeq].

Transcript Variant: This variant (2) differs in the 5' UTR,
compared to variant 1. All variants encode the same protein.

Publication Note: This RefSeq record includes a subset of the
publications that are available for this gene. Please see the
Entrez Gene record to access additional publications.
