Predicted to enable DNA-binding transcription repressor activity, RNA polymerase II-specific and RNA polymerase II transcription regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding activity. Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II and positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Located in autophagosome and nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; brain; branchial arch; genitourinary system; and sensory organ. Orthologous to human PEG3 (paternally expressed 3).
