This locus represents naturally occurring readthrough transcription between the neighboring Lrch4 (leucine-rich repeats and calponin homology (CH) domain containing 4) and Sap25 (sin3 associated polypeptide) genes on chromosome 5. The readthrough transcript is a candidate for nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD), and is unlikely to produce a protein product. [provided by RefSeq, May 2013]
