Microchimeric fetal cells isolated from maternal lung during late pregnancy

Analysis of fetal cells collected from C57BL/6J maternal lung in late stages of pregnancy. During pregnancy, fetal cells enter maternal circulation and organs leading to microchimerism. Results provide insight into the microchimeric cell types and the mechanisms by which they affect maternal health.

Mus musculus

Expression profiling by array, transformed count, 4 age sets

Comprehensive Analysis of Genes Expressed by Rare Microchimeric Fetal Cells in Maternal Mouse Lung

(Submitter supplied) During pregnancy, cells from each fetus travel into the maternal circulation and organs, resulting in the development of microchimerism. Identification of the cell types in this microchimeric population would permit better understanding of possible mechanisms by which they affect maternal health. However, comprehensive analysis of fetal cells has been hampered by their rarity. In this study, we sought to overcome this obstacle by combining flow cytometry with multidimensional gene expression microarray analysis of fetal cells isolated from the murine maternal lung during late pregnancy. more...

Mesenchymal stromal cell transcriptome study

(Submitter supplied) Transcriptomes of mesenchymal stromal cells from bone marrow (bmMSC) were compared to MSC from term placenta (pMSC). Cells were expanded under GMP-compliant conditions. The transcriptome was explored to compare the regenerative potential of bmMSCs and pMSCs in a pre-clinical and eventually in a clinical context

Pregnancy-induced maternal microchimerism shapes neurodevelopment and behavior in mice

(Submitter supplied) Maternal immune cells (called 'Maternal microchimeric cells' (short: MMc)) seed fetal brain tissue during pregnancy. We used single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to characterize the diversity of MMc in the fetal brain.

Amniotic fluid transcriptome: a glimpse into fetal development and placental cellular dynamics during normal pregnancy

(Submitter supplied) Amniotic fluid was colelcted during midtrimester from 30 women and at term gestation from 68 women. Cell free RNA was profiled by HTA 2.0 arrays to study the effect of gestational age and other relevant convariates on gene expression and splicing during normal pregnancy.
